Minister Elena Udrea will visit Suceava
The minister of Regional Development and Tourism,
Elena Udrea, will sign two contracts financed under Regio – the Regional Operational Programme, at the Suceava County Council headquarters, on Saturday, 6 February 2010. At the same time, Minister Elena Udrea will attend the inauguration of the “Soimul” ski run in Gura Humorului and will visit the locality of Mălini and the resort of Vatra Dornei.
Through the two projects to be signed in Suceava, the Throne Citadel (Cetatea de Scaun) of Suceava will be rehabilitated and the specialized ambulatory care unit of the “Sf. Ioan cel Nou” County Emergency Hospital will be modernised, developed and equipped.
The project "Rehabilitation of the Throne Citadel of Suceava and its protection zone" will be carried out over 60 months and aims at increasing the Citadel’s level of attractiveness, to develop tourism and stimulate the economic growth of Suceava Municipality through restorations, landscaping, creation of parking lots, access roads rehabilitation, setting up an information point and creating new jobs. The total budget of the project amounts to 52,598,065 lei, of which 35,589,078 lei contribution of the European Union - ERDF.
The project "Modernisation, development and equipping of the specialised ambulatory care unit of the ‘Sf. Ioan cel Nou’ County Emergency Hospital, Suceava" will be carried out over 13 months and, as a result of the investment, 14 medical consulting rooms and 4 intervention rooms will be modernized, medical equipment and specific furniture will be purchased. The total budget of the project amounts to 4,602,947.81 lei, of which 3,288,958.55 lei contribution of the European Union - FEDR.
Arrangement of the “Soimul” ski run was done under the project “P.O.P.A.S. Gura Humorului lot 2”, financed under the Phare 2006 - Economic and Social Cohesion programme, and included the arrangement of the run, the set up of a chair lift and of night lighting for the run, the purchase of a snow making facility, the rehabilitation of the access road and the car parking at the end of the ski run, and the construction of an annex building at the lower chair lift station.
